Geodetic Applications with Low-cost GNSS Receiver [1]

- © U-Blox
The basic concept of the experiment is to define the trajectory of
a UAV using a low-cost GNSS receiver. In this UAV is installed a
camera, a laser altimeter and one single-frequency GNSS receiver. In
the future it will be used for remote sensing applications, but due to
this fact, the position of the UAV must be defined very well every
moment. This experiment is done in order to find the limits of the
accuracy that can be achieved using a single-frequency receiver for
different baselines between the rover (the UAV) and the base station.

Ground Based GNSS for Soil Moisture [3]

Soil moisture is key for
understanding the flow of water and energy between the surface of the
earth and atmosphere, predict floods and droughts and also optimizing
agricultural management.
Obtaining soil moisture data at the field scale with currently
available in-situ techniques is a challenge since continuous
observations are generally required and the sampling volumes are
small.

Ionospheric Irregularities with GNSS RO [5]

GNSS radio occultation is
based on satellite-satellite remote sensing technique. The general
idea of this method is to track GNSS radio signal, as it passes
through the Earth's atmosphere crossing Earth's limb. This weather
independent method provides global data coverage, high accuracy and a
high vertical resolution.
